Starting this month, drivers may need to update their photo on file with the Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division. Beginning September 12, Arizona law, A.R.S. 28-3173, adjusts the time frame to update a photo from 12 years to 16 years. The standard driver license typically expires when a person turns 65, but an updated photo is required to ensure the credential photo resembles you.
