We live in a culture in which many believe that the fruit of the spirit are character traits people are born with, and those who are not born with these attributes must work to attain them. In reality, we do not bear fruit through our own efforts but by yielding to the Holy Spirit. In this series, we’ll dissect each fruit, differentiating real fruit from its worldly counterpart. Let’s dissect our third fruit: self-control.
