Birchmore Investigators Returned Farwell’s Phone After WHAT?!

A Massachusetts State Police examiner searched Matthew Farwell’s phone for messages with Sandra Birchmore, came up empty, and returned the device. That was Nicholas Guarino’s account to the federal jury. Investigators had already obtained Sandra’s laptop using a password containing Farwell’s name, found through her DoorDash account.
Guarino said his phone examination was limited to the communications he had been directed to locate. The FBI later recovered roughly 24,000 communications between Farwell and Birchmore from her devices. Prosecutors say Farwell had deleted messages after investigators first questioned him.
