In an effort to stop the villainous blackmailer Charles Augustus Milverton, Holmes and Watson set off on a nighttime adventure. Their plan is to burgle his home, and steal the incriminating papers from his safe, in order to stop him from inflicting harm on Holmes's client. But when they arrive, they are greeted by a surprising scene, and their plans quickly go awry.
