Our existence on earth is fleeting. By faith, we know this and believe in it. When we reflect upon eternity, our minds are not able to directly comprehend it. When Our Lord first appears to the Apostles, at first they do not believe and then are overjoyed. A less well known third appearance that Christ made is at the Sea of Galilee, which is recounted in the Gospel of John.
