Does Free Will Exist? Your Brain Decides Before You Do

Does free will actually exist?

In this episode of Divergent Files, we look at the science and philosophy behind one of the oldest human questions: are you really making your own choices?

From Benjamin Libet’s famous experiments and brain scans that can reveal information about a decision before conscious awareness, to split-brain research, determinism, predestination, and the deeper question of what “you” actually means — this episode follows the free will debate wherever it leads.

If your brain starts making a choice before you know it, who exactly is doing the choosing?
