City officials are bringing in a consultant to evaluate two big options—upgrading the existing Hawks Prairie facility or building a brand-new plant at the well site—and will deliver a final recommendation by end of 2027. Construction planning kicks off in early 2028, with permits and design wrapping up by late 2029. A consultant is needed by December to get this critical infrastructure project moving.
