The Devil and Mr. O presents “Paris Macabre,” episode 21, originally broadcast February 4, 1972. This installment repackages Arch Oboler’s 1943 Lights Out drama “The Ball,” with Bea Benaderet and Jane Morgan featured in the cast.
Two young American visitors in Paris seek adventure at an unusual artists’ masquerade ball, only to find the masked gathering and its peculiar customs growing steadily more unsettling. Written, produced, and directed by Arch Oboler, this is a compact exercise in mounting supernatural dread.
