Our Miss Brooks, “New Girl in Town,” originally broadcast on CBS on May 6, 1956, is episode 340 of the classic schoolroom comedy. Eve Arden stars as wisecracking Madison High English teacher Connie Brooks, alongside Gale Gordon, Robert Rockwell, and Richard Crenna.
A new transfer student, Dolores Roberts, soon has Madison High’s boys competing for her attention—especially Walter Denton—while Connie grows concerned about Mr. Boynton’s apparent interest in Dolores’s mother. Written by Arthur Alsberg and Al Lewis and directed by Larry Berns, the episode turns romantic confusion into a lively Madison High farce.
