Our Miss Brooks, “Cow in the Closet,” originally broadcast on CBS on April 24, 1955. Episode 286 finds Eve Arden’s wisecracking English teacher Connie Brooks caught up in a Madison High School crackdown on pets—an edict made still more complicated by Mr. Boynton’s affection for animals.
With Gale Gordon as the blustering Principal Osgood Conklin and Robert Rockwell as Mr. Boynton, this schoolroom farce turns a simple no-pets rule into an increasingly unruly day, culminating in a very large problem for the school closet.
