Twenty-seven weeks ago, we began digging.

Not into the world.

Into ourselves.

We searched our roots, faced our fears, met our younger selves, released guilt and shame, learned to participate instead of control, trusted the process, accepted relief, and finally celebrated the simple miracle that every version of us stayed long enough to become who we are today.

This week, something changes.

Summer has found her rhythm.

The afterglow of my fifty-first birthday still lingers.

Our nation pauses to reflect on two hundred and fifty...
