Gunsmoke presents “Where’d They Go?,” episode 299 of the classic CBS radio series, originally broadcast December 29, 1957. William Conrad stars as Marshal Matt Dillon, with Parley Baer as Chester, in a Christmas-season story written by Les Crutchfield and directed by Norman Macdonnell.
When a robbery accusation sends Matt and Chester from Dodge City to an isolated homestead, an approaching winter storm complicates their journey. As urgent chores and concern for a homesteader’s wife delay their return, law enforcement and frontier hospitality collide in a dryly comic, snowbound tale.
