Happiness and joy actually aren’t synonyms. Happiness is dependent on the situation you’re in. If somebody hands you a cookie-dough ice cream cone, you’re happy! But as soon as that dessert is gone, your moment of elation is over. Today, Pastor John will tell you that joy is a gift from God that can’t be taken away! Joy isn’t based on what’s happening around you. You can have joy in prison, while dealing with a severe illness, and even on your deathbed! Because Jesus is the unending source of your joy!
